This is such a great article. A lot of the time, the parents of children with eating disorders handle the situation wrong (with the best of intentions of course) and it ends up making the situation worse. So I definitely agree with this, that the whole family needs to go into counseling, in order to support and move the child in the right direction. ShareWIK (share What I Know) is a website devoted to bringing together women from all different situations and backgrounds (as well as a few men!) to talk about their experiences and learn from each other. Thank you! You might be interested to know that the Harris Center is putting on its next public forum at Harvard on March 23rd. The topic will be “Health Matters: Weight and Wellness in the World of Fashion,” and the guest panelists will be Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designer Michael Kors and model Natalia Vodianova. I hope there are a lot of attendees there to ask the hard questions of this high-powered panel.
